Telegram from Chung Âu She (Sino-European News Agency) urging propaganda in all countries on the subject of the Nanking incident.

(From the Chung Wah She News Agency)

We have received a telegram from the chung Au She

News Agency in Berlin which runs as follows:-

"Urgent (Ten thousand times as swift as fire).

For transmission to the Nationalist Government,

Generalissimo Cheung, Chief of Staff Li, and Foreign

Minister Chen.

Recently the Press in England and on the continent of Europe because of the many reports purposely circulated by the Imperialists has openly published articles to the effect that the National Revolutionary Army had committed a massacre of the British and Americans in Nanking and hinted that there was a possibility of its stirring up

war with England and America. Such provocative articles

and items of news are rife on the continent, and at present

the attitude of the whole of Europe towards china is tense

in the extreme. Even such organs of public opinion as

have hitherto been in favour of us have now also been

silenced. Un this account our masses in Europe appear to have given their silent approval to the sending of

troops to China by the imperialists. Therefore we beg that the Nationalist Government will take steps urgently

to dissipate on the one hand all groundless rumours and on the other to develop their international propaganda

work. We hope

We hope earnestly that the revolutionary masses and associations in your country will send us as many

facts as they can collect in connection with the cruelties

and outrages recently committed by the imperialists in

China
